Our Story

A hotel built for slow mornings.

Velvet Vista is a 24-room boutique retreat in Pahalgam — sitting at the confluence of the pine forest and the Lidder river, 2,130 metres above the noise of the world.

We built this hotel with one conviction: that great hospitality is mostly about getting out of the way. The mountain does the heavy lifting. We handle the rest — the thread count, the fire in the pit, the fresh kangri chai waiting on your tray.

Every room is individually decorated with original Pahari artwork, handwoven Kashmiri textiles, and furniture made by local craftsmen from the valley.
